We all instinctively know that talking helps. Friends, relatives and partners can all do their bit but sometimes -just sometimes- we need to talk to someone who is trained to help us move forward, within an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality.

Therapy has a proven track record in helping people deal with a range of issues: depression, low self esteem, anxiety, sexual problems, relationship and anger issues – the list is almost endless. Counselling and psychotherapy can bring us a new understanding of our motivation, behaviours and repeated life patterns so we can move through life with more choice more ease and less stress.

That’s why so many people – from all walks of life and with a whole range of different problems – use therapy as a way of resolving personal issues and finding a more successful path through life.

The aim in counselling is to look more deeply into the emotions, conflicts and distress behind the feelings that can hinder you in life today, and our use of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) supports this.

We receive regular supervision and adhere to the codes of practice adopted by UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).
